<image:caption>I am endlessly curious about human behavior and impulses. And I'm fascinated at how thoughtful design can complement the human spirit and yield empowerment and motivation. I design solutions crafted with the interpretation of data + research balanced with empathy + creative intuition; inclusive solutions that foresee iteration and are built to scale. — I've designed products and team processes at WeightWatchers, AT&T Thanks, Kickstarter, Samsung, glueTV (GetGlue). <image:caption>Lead Product Designer I led Native design (iOS, Android, tvOS) at Kickstarter, owning the KSR 3.0 iOS UI/UX rebrand + iterative redesign, the introduction of messaging in the Android app, ApplePay integration, and KSRLive. Additionally, I worked on the discovery web team, focusing on personalization features, and the KSR tvOS app. I also drove internal design team initiatives to streamline and develop our team’s process, communication, and hiring. —- Kickstarter centers on dual-sided marketplace experiences, focused on transparency in the creative process, empowering independent creators to build communities and pursue financial independence.</image:caption>

<image:title>Kickstarter - iOS UI/UX Redesign (v3.0)</image:title>
<image:caption>I was part of an ambitious cross-functional team effort for a complete UI/UX redesign and technical rewrite of our iOS app. — Through user interviews, stakeholder workshops, experience mapping, and partnership with our Customer Support team, user-centric challenges were discovered and used to guide the redesign. With an 8-month time constraint, the PM and Tech lead, and I worked together to negotiate and scope both a greenfield and iterative road-map of the most viable and lovable product, approved by stakeholders. Our team's primary goal was to increase conversion amongst smaller metrics such as boost engagement, user value, and time spent in the app. — The outcome of the KSR iOS 3.0 release was a new UI, a Native design library, an increase in user engagement, a 12% increase in revenue conversion (which meant Native pledges account for 40% of all KSR revenue), our iOS app free from tech-debt, and satisfied users.</image:caption>

<image:title>Kickstarter - Messaging on KSR Android</image:title>
<image:caption>Our Android community is responsible for half of Native revenue, yet the Android product was significantly behind feature parity to our iOS app. With a small team responsible for both platforms, we had to be smart about prioritizing features. Quantitative data and narrative research reinforced a dominant theme: transparency and communication between backers and creators are critical for trust and conversion. Thus propelling us to focus on developing messaging on Android. We strived to create a new inbox experience with threaded messaging to promote an immediate connection between backers + creators, strengthening the sense of community and accessibility. Post-shipping, we received tons of positive user (both backer + creator) feedback and a major increase in-app engagement.</image:caption>
